Easily Combustible and Barely Conscious

Some people move far ahead in life in a short period of time.
Others, like me, remain rooted in the same spot for ages on end, collecting dust, fungal rot and useless memories.
Perhaps I could conveniently blame it on inertia, but that would be skirting the hard facts of the matter.
Because if a 20-ton elephant can become a superstar, why can't I become someone who could appreciate what she has become in life?
But there's no hard and fast rule.
One may ply a path marked with success only to veer into the gully hole the next moment.
Another may ply a haphazard path with tons of barbs and spurs but may hit the jackpot at the end.
Many say it's not so much the goal that matters, but the journey racked up while on the way to encounter it.

Well, I suppose that boils down to one being a Person of Process, a Person of Progress, a Person of Protest or a Person of Pizazz.

I personally feel I'd be the Person of Protest, finely chopped and mixed with a Person of Pizza-- erm nope, maybe make that Person of Paunch-ness.
Not like having two slices of pepperoni for eyes and a jalapeño pepper for a nose would help much, would it?

I'm combusting, and I mean it literally. Which idiot booked the barbecue pit and forgot to fan out the coals and smolder the fire? My insides feel overheated and overworked and yes, in short, I feel unwell.

What could I possibly blame it on?
1) Work?
2) Coffee?
3) Chocolate?
4) Sleeping habits (or lack thereof)
5) Heatstroke?

Such a multitude of factors, I'd probably pick the first choice. But I do believe it's a mix of all. Evil culprits. You made me sick!

And to think I downed 3 bottles of water totaling 1.5 litres, 1 cup of barley, and I had ban mian soup. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better. Always at such inopportune times I feel unwell. Lame.

And I wanna sleep but mom is still cooking dinner.
Did I mention I drank a can of chrysanthemum tea with jasmine green tea and ate 2 jeju oranges just now? Gah.

Boing Chop~

LOL.

surprising course of events ytd, not withstanding merely the events that followed IMM.
after work met up with mad falala and darl for lunchie at IMM.
passed darl her present and we treated mad falala to lunch =x
i was too stuffed with potluck from work, so only had dessert @_@

marathon shopping at daiso. i tell you, i am freaking addicted to it.
their things are so cute and cheap until everything seems so tempting to buy until you are left with a big basket that can cost quite a lot X_X
LOL oh noes. nvm i love daiso!

had to chiong home cos had another gathering with J & his D&D gang at 730pm and was too encumbered with random stuff.
(yes, finally left IMM at almost 5pm leh!)
chionged to orch in 502 and omg reached in 20 odd minutes. =O
the place was flooded with people. omgosh.

the rain was terrible when i got home.
and the queue for the chicken wings was long long.
seems like the whole world was also buying massive amounts of chicken wings for random gatherings etc.
anyway cos of the rain, almost everyone else was late.
all the food was gone!
and we played this game called Munchkin, which entertained me.

made some new JieMeis, hoho. and i was exposed to this new move called the boing chop! (not pork chop, but maybe they could be similar in a vague number of ways)

and No, i am Not gonna dance to that! LOL.

somehow or rather ended up at a lan shop playing dota.
when behind me i kept hearing ppl playing audi BU.
LOL.

sigh so tempted. and my dota SuX.
roffles.
surprisingly, i am rather okay at broodmother altho i've never tried her before.
managed to chase some people down with my Drow too.
and panda is just early game imba.

hmm i'm so sleepy now!
because i got home at 7am and had to wake up at 10+ or 11am to go out with my aunt mom n sis. LOL.
due to the festive season, bus services only began at 645am for my bus.
and the mrt only began around 635 to 640am for my direction.
gah.
ended up sleeping in the mrt station.
(prior to that i was sleeping in macD)

and i was haunted by horribly fitful dreams this morning too.
i was being harassed by a multitude of people in some way or another.
be it picture taking (for evidence?), work delivery, blackmailing or like i owed them something.
so i kept shouting in my dream for them to LEAVE ME ALONE.
then i got more and more fed up cos they followed me around wherever i went.
i think i was in a zoo also.
and i had to shout PLEASE FUCKING GO AWAY.
LOL @_@

went to aunt's house and then gave her her pressies.
an xmas card that can be unfolded into a 3D xmas tree that she placed on her piano.
some foodstuff, fragrance etc.
and then later we went to liang (OMG MY OTHER FAVE PLACE) and i treated lunch =O
kurobuta katsu is nice. and not -that- expensive =x
their cakes also nice. too bad today no choux cream. awwww.

massive amount of ppl gathering at the sushi section at the supermkt. LOL. waiting for the discount stickers to be stuck on the sashimi? =x well, that's me anyway.
and i got 3 new pairs of earrings! one of which was given to me by my aunt. YAY!
witch on a broomstick, rather cute.
i really am a sucker for unique and quirky things.
and yes, i like to wear art. art that fits my persona.

hmm. anyway today i wore my green ruffly baby-doll tank top out for the first time.
seems odd at first cos it's sleeveless.
but decided my arms look alright. and that i look cute in it, so whatever la =x

and later my mom asked me to draw money. so i went to the ATM with sis.
talking talking talking.
pressing pressing.
wanted to press 'from other savings account'.
ended up, aiming wrong! pressed the button above it instead.

GOT THE SHOCK OF MY LIFE LOL.

i pressed the button that said $1000.

sigh the dark rings under my eyes are so horrible and my hair keeps dropping.

in any case! i did have fun! hahaha. and yes, as predicted, i couldn't wake up this morning. head was heavy. think too much brandy LOL. strange though, how no one reeled ytd.

completed our SA+LMAO xmas gathering ytd evening ;D
but due to keeping with the times, we have undergone a rebranding.
henceforth, we are now known as SALMON. there, isn't it less of a mouthful and easier to remember?
and yes, xmas is now known as xxx-mas.
and mu's official tagline is: "Let's hold hands!"
(but no one wants to hold hands with her xD)

ROFFLES.

okok. but i was late.
cos OT'ed for a bit.

so finally around 9pm i think, we officially started to eat.
i didn't take any photos =x waiting for them to be circulated via fb. muahaha.
technology makes one lazyyy.

Main Course

1. salad doused with mayo, lemon, balsamic vinegar and topped with croûtons, sundried tomatoes, romaine lettuce leaves, EGG (omg), cucumber etc.
   
2. wraps (salsa + wasabi mayo flavours)
   
3. cheesy cheeeeken
   
4. baked potatoes (with loads of baco-bits(tm), sour cream and cheese)
   
5. cheesy nachos + guacamole dip
   

Dessert

1. Brandied cherry trifle (consisting of EGGS)
   
2. mango ice creamy dessert
   
3. EGGnog
   

and we opened all our pressies till way past midnight haha!

hmm no wonder internet never say do both grinching and giving. because mechanics not worked out properly. HAHA but oh well. it was farnie.
gift exchange revealed that it was an EGGY XXX-MAS.
and everybody was brandy-fied and thank goodness no one had to work the next day!

面白かったクリスマス・パーティー

今日は疲れたけど、沢山面白いことを過ごした。朝はとても眠くても、夜まで耐えていたのは奇跡だね。仕事を直前終わるところ、友達はIMMでモス・バーガーからちょ可愛い玩具（携帯電話のスタラップ）を買っていると言った。オタクらしい私は絶対に買いたいので、IMMへ飛んで行った。ヒールも履いている、そのまま歩いて行った。結果は足の筋肉が痛くて、体も汗が出た。ｗ

でも、嬉しかったよ！友達にお金を払ってから、すぐ会社へ戻った。又足の痛みも汗が出たけど、幸せな気持ちがなった。戻ったら、後は又会社の人と一緒に夜クラスのパーティーを臨んだ。一番の理由は無料だけじゃなくて、食べ物やオマケ等だな。

実は、このタイプのイベントはちょっと…けれども、会社の人もいるって、寂しくなくて、一人じゃない。びくったのは、日本人がいるよ。大きい電気機の長官も臨んだ。日本酒の辺りにも日本人…いや、沖縄の出身の男性もいるよ。ｗ新しい友達になった。Eメールと携帯電話番号も交換した。ｗ

でも、もう酒を飲んだのは、もっと社交的になった。ｗ
最後は、父が家へ帰って連れてくれた。会社の人と一緒彼女の家へ先戻った。

また眠くなった、酒のせいかも？ｗじゃ、お休み～

ミスの所為から、日本語能力試験を合格できない恐れがある。
かも６０パーセントに合わない…また来年？面倒癖な。
ガッカリで、自分に怒ってしまった。
じゃ、今日以後和諸をよく読もうと思っている。
今度の試験は、絶対に勝つ！
未来期待のは、日本語の会話やら聴解やら読み方全部も上手でペラペラようになりたい。

忙しいって、よく勉強の機会が少ない。
弁解はもう言わずに、前に見向うへ。
戻って帰り得ないわ。
ガッカリしないでなぁ。

（あら。試験の最中に発見があった。名前の漢字書き取りはなかった、表紙の上で。ちょっとあの間違うことにびっくったわ。o_o）

試験の後はすごく腹がへって、高島屋で本屋ってから食べに行ったら、買い物もしてしまった。
すげ疲れたので、死んだ人のように這ってしまった。
後は、だけじゃなくて、又母にAMKにあったところ買い物を続いてしまった。
今の私はまるで亡くなったようだ。
じゃ、後で。宿題の論文を書かなきゃ。

notes from under a mountain of work

- perhaps foreign talent really is the answer to our population woes.
- i really have to unearth that guitar.
- weirdos are scary yet strangely entertaining. yes, even the uncle who kept staring at me today even when i glared right at him twice. what's this!
- glad for monday's holiday.
- i learnt how to use microfilm in the library today!
- CB means many things. in more ways than one, i think there's more weight to CB being the abbreviation of a place, rather than a hokkien vulgarity that highlights a body part. if you know what i mean.
- however, if you would like to refer to it in the neutral sense, maybe it would stand for "chat box", if you may.
- maybe i should make plushies and sell them in one of those modules for rent.
- anyone up for joining forces to bring back memories of the old Toyzbar? ie toy shop that has comics and a cafe and a shop that sells little trinkets and accessories and maybe even photographs etc?
